The tab title on Google's page says Gemini 4 Argon is now available for everyone. The list in its first paragraph is narrower.
Fact
The facts: on October 13, 2026 Google released Gemini 4 Argon globally. By Google's announcement, access works like this: for developers and enterprises through the API in AI Studio and the Gemini platform, where for developers it is the paid tier of the Gemini API in AI Studio and Android Studio; for Google AI Ultra subscribers in Google Antigravity; for Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers in the Gemini app and in AI Mode in Search. At the end of the announcement, enterprises also get the model in Gemini for business and in Google Antigravity. The model launches at an introductory price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens at 95% off. The limit is 1 million tokens combined for input and output through the Gemini API, and Google points to its documentation for a new continuation protocol. By Google's account Argon ranks first on the Vals Index, and in Antigravity its teams increased agentic code submissions by more than 35% while cutting code rollbacks by nearly a third. For cyber defenders, Google is beginning to expand the Fairwind Program to hundreds of additional partners; those accepted into the program get access to Argon without cyber guardrails, on a rolling basis. 10,000 scientists can get the highest usage tier in Google Antigravity free of charge for 6 months, subject to eligibility, capacity and selection.
Line by line. API: the paid tier only, for developers. Antigravity: Ultra and enterprises. The app and AI Mode in Search: Pro and Ultra. The free tier of the Gemini API and users without a subscription are not listed.
You know the price from the first announcement: $2 and $10, introductory. What's new is that someone can finally pay it. The introductory price runs through November 30, 2026, says the Gemini API pricing page; from December 1 it is $4 and $20.
Wide doesn't mean free.
There are narrower doors too. Without cyber guardrails Argon is available only through Fairwind, by application. Scientists have their own: 10,000 seats by selection, and Google hands them out in waves.
Every number about results is Google's. First place on the Vals Index and the 35%-plus gain in Antigravity are its own, with no outside check on the page.
For free users there is no date. For paying ones, the wait from the first announcement to today was 13 days.
